During the fall semester we will study metallic elements and alloys, ferrous and
nonferrous metals, elements affecting modern life, metal characteristics and
properties, and practical metallurgy as it may come up on the job. Take note of one
topic that interests you as the focus of a short paper. The topic can be a career that
involves metallurgy, a particular alloy, or other content of the course.

time? How is welding applied in shipyards or railroads ? )

Welding processes for cast iron
History of a union, industry, welding process, etc. or building of a specific
structure, bridge, etc …
