For my part:
TOO HOT TO HANDLE?
Will I burn my hand or not? During week 1 we learned that due to low specific heat capacity, metal are
heating up quickly. Therefore, pots that are made out of metals with plastic handles are easier to use. The
metal has a low heat capacity and the plastic handles have a high heat capacity. So, upon exposure to the
same amount of heat, the pot gets much hotter, but the handles still remain at a temperature that you can
tolerate when you grab onto them. Well.. I guess it is too hot to handle unless I wear mittens! 🙂
