Attack is a copy of the requimrents for this project. It is lengthy, it need to be 5-7 pages with a biblography cited with 5 sources. Here the good part, you pick who you want to write about from the list provided in the instructions.
Please read them thoughly as Iwll ask you questions, to make sure you understand the requirements for this project.
Final Project Overview:
You are to analyze a campaign of YOUR choice by applying theories and concepts from our class.
This is NOT a research paper of the campaign. Nor are you trying to persuade with this paper. You will analyze artifacts from your selected campaign and apply theory/concepts from class.
Paper Draft For Final Project: DUE: June 27th
The paper draft should give a clear idea of what your paper will cover and what theories you will use.
The draft should clearly lay out the persuasive campaign that you will be studying, what persuasive strategies the campaign uses that you will focus on (TV ads, print ads, etc.), and why you chose to look at that particular campaign. This introduction should be clear enough that you will be able to use it as a basis for your final paper. Justify the significance of the particular campaign and why it deserves to be analyzed. You should also clearly identify and explain the two major theories you will be applying to the campaign. Explain and justify why you chose these theories and briefly explain how they apply to the campaign. The draft should also have a detailed (at least 1 page) outline which shows in detail what the paper will cover. A complete bibliography (at least 1 page and 5 references) of all the references you plan to use in the final paper should also be included. For each source in the bibliography, provide a short sentence summarizing the content of the article as it applies to your campaign. You may submit a rough draft of your completed paper, but that is not a requirement. As you complete the writing of your final paper, your two main theories might change, but the draft should serve to give me a very clear idea of what your project will look like so that I can give early feedback on the scope of your project. You need to apply your TWO theories clearly enough so that I can see that you are applying them to your campaign appropriately. I will grade submissions in the order received and give appropriate feedback for improvement.
FINAL PROJECT: DUE July 2nd
The final project is a major research paper and presentation. THIS IS YOUR PORTFOLIO
ASSIGNMENT!! It should be typed and include a comprehensive bibliography with at least 5 sources. The sources should be cited throughout the paper. The assignment is to fully analyze a
persuasive campaign by applying and discussing theories/concepts from this course. Minimum requirements are:
1. Analysis of the campaign according to the information discussed in the text about persuasive
campaigns and persuasive strategies.
2. An analysis of the effects or goals sought by the campaign.
3. An analysis of the persuasive techniques used.
4. A thorough analysis and application of the specific persuasive theories the campaign appears to be based upon. Pick at least two major concepts or theories discussed in the textbook and show how they apply or are illustrated in your persuasive campaign. You can include more than two theories, but be sure to adequately explain and apply the theories to your campaign. Be sure to justify why
these two theories fit the best.
5. An analysis of the validity of specific arguments used in the campaign.
6. An analysis of why the campaign succeeded or failed. If this is not able to be decided, then discuss why you think it will succeed or fail. This is very important to the paper. Try to find numbers, statistics, etc., which support your analysis of the campaign’s success or failure.
7. Explain who the target audience is, how they were targeted, and if it was successful.
You may also wish to analyze your campaign in terms of ethics, language, or some other perspective. The paper should be between 5 and 7 pages (excluding the bibliography and title page). The paper
should include as many visuals and supporting materials as possible. All visual aids are to be
included as attachments and not as “filler” for your final paper. Since it is a persuasive campaign, you should be able to show and discuss examples of the persuasion.
