that can be made about the population (identify your assumed population)?

2 Independent Samples: there are no facts given because the class body – upper-division business
students at a major university in San Diego – is the facts; you are analyzing the survey data you
created in Week 1. Knowing that, these are the 4 facets of the null with the bold applying here:

Paired Data Samples: this is a Before\After test, with the same student sample being measured
twice, regarding Students MIS 301 Anxiety Levels. Between the two measurements there was an
intervening event: Coverage of the Syllabus and the Class Introduction. We do NOT know whether
being informed about the course via the Syllabus and Introduction material reduced or raised (or
had no effect) – perhaps not for everyone but on average – Students Anxiety Levels. Therefore:
● We perform a 2-tail test on the Difference Group, using the following pattern -● ↓ Before − ↑ After = Negative Difference
● ↑ Before − ↓ After = Positive Difference
● So the Sign of the Test Stat indicates whether the Before or After Sample
had the Higher\Lower Anxiety Level.
