Diverticulitis can be very painful. My husband had an infectious bout with it some years ago. His doctor prescribed antibiotics and a high fiber diet. He did not have any problems after that. My husband did have a colonoscopy some years later and the doctor showed him where he had a few “hole type” things in the lining of his colon, he said that these are what get infected when you have a bout of diverticulitis, it was interesting.

Hi Robbin, I was looking for information to see if it was stress related at all. My ex husband had surgery for diverticulitis and they removed some of his colon. He’s very high strung and I wondered if that was a contributing factor at all. The only thing I seem to keep seeing as far as the cause is lack of fiber. I am actually glad to hear that because things like starting back to school have had me stressed out a bit and sometimes I get stomach aches because of it. I was scared that I might be getting something like this. It has gotten better the longer I’m in school and now that I am more used to things, but it did have me scared for a bit. I’m really glad to hear your husband is doing much better. I do eat a lot of fiber so hopefully I won’t get this disease.

Glad your son recovered from his appendicitis. The mortality rate for untreated appendicitis is high. Appendicitis is one of the most common causes of acute abdominal pain. Appendicitis is a medical emergency and as you know, rupture can lead to peritonitis and sometimes shock in the patient. Appendicitis calls for removal of the inflamed appendix by laparotomy or laparoscopy. Your little guy was very lucky

I know a little about this Esophagitis , for I suffer with this problem from time-to-time. If I eat certain foods like pizza, spaghetti, lemons, oranges, and spicy foods which I do not eat a lot of. However, the affects of me having this painful discomfort in my chest and stomach it causes me to not want to eat anything. I will feel sick at all times the pain that be in your chest will feel like you are having a heart attack. I am not sure if you have heard of eating a spoon full of mustard it will help easy the pain some and it will cause you to burp just like soda’s do. It has work for me but not all the time if I have it so bad I will need something a little more stronger.

I used to work for Candlewood Suites, a sister hotel to The Holiday Inn, and they are really good places to go wether on business or on a family trip. I just recently attended at wedding function at a Holiday Inn and it was awesome. I never expected this level of service at a Holiday Inn property. As far as the Ritz I have yet to step foot in one but the day I do, I will bask in the experience of being in such a luxury.

Recently, I visited Puerto Rico and stayed at a hotel called Wyndham Rio Mar. It was located in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. The landscaping was beautiful and the outside of the hotel was nice also. However, my stay there was for four nights and the my accommodations there was less than standard, to say the least. Although, the hotel was rated as a four star hotel I would have to rate it a three star. I would rate it as a three star because the room was not modern, the bed was uncomfortable, there were no up to date technology (such as Wi-Fi or flat screen TV’s). Several other factors were no entertainment for the family or children, overpriced restaurants and old carpeting all throughout the hotel. Another hotel that I stayed at in the past was a hotel called Westgate Villas in Orlando, Florida. This resort was rated a five star, and if I was a hotel rater I would rate it a five star hotel as well. This hotel was beautiful inside and out and was very modernized with up to date tiling throughout the hotel. It had a 24 hour concierge that was at your service 24/7. It also had up to date technology that included Wi-Fi and flat screen televisions. This is just some of the factors that plays a major part in determining one star to five star hotels. Lastly, a few years ago I stayed at the Sheraton located in Atlantic City, NJ and their rating was a three star. I would have to rate it a four star hotel because it was not the fanciest, but it was very clean and inviting. It also had good amenities such as; free breakfast, daily wake up calls, and Wi-Fi service. This hotel superceded my standards. The criteria I use to determine my rating is based on luxury hotels.
