“What it means to be an American”
I would like you to reflect on “what it means to be an American” in your own perspective. Are there values that all Americans share? Are you an “American”? If so, how do you define yourself? You may want go into detail about 3 or 4 central areas that have led you to define an American. You might want to review the following topics, as a way to help you to your definition. For each definition, please be sure to support your point with a personal experience.

Ways that you are similar to other individual or groups of people, and ways you are “different”

Particular style of dress or style of behavior? Current fad or fashion?
Are there any pictures, photos, or images that give a “visual” picture of the origins, and current state of your identity?
