It is the responsibility of the Chief Executive Officer (C.E.O.) to determine the right path that the company should follow in order for it to meet set goals and ensure that these goals make a positive impact on the company, both in the short and long run. Goal setting is taken as the most important step in starting the journey to a successful upcoming year of a company. With the right amount of information shared regarding the information shared on the past performance of the company as well as the current performance, then the CEO can have a grasp of what is expected to steer the company in a certain direction that is beneficial to the company (DelPo, 2005).
