Congratulations, you have just graduated from GCC student to entrepreneur! Let’s not forget that
Prof. Dixon had a little help in this 🙂 You have decided to take the chance on yourself and explore
the world of ecommerce sales due to its heightened popularity and low-cost start-up. Now you have
to get focused and do some homework to get things started. Please address the following questions
to complete this assignment. 

1) Briefly discuss why you want to be an entrepreneur.

a. Is it the thought of being your own boss?

b. Do you like the potential for making more money?

2) Name and function of your company (You can use your previous company name you created in
class if you wish).

a. What does your company do/specialize in?

3) What is your Mission Statement?

4) Which country if your business located in. United States? China? Mexico?
a. What factors contributed to you choosing this country? Low cost? Culture? Taxes?

5) Choose 3 products you would sell online (this must be different than your previous products from
the Week #12 assignment). You can locate products for sale on www.Alibaba.com or any other
wholesale site. These products MUST be real and ready to sell tomorrow. Please do not present
products that have yet to be created/developed. In your response, please provide screen shots of

Essay Guidelines:
1. Essay cannot be on a company you presented from your Midterm.
2. Length = Minimum of

pages. MLA and APA format is preferred. Be sure that your paper meets

the assigned page requirements, plus foot/endnotes and bibliography, using standard one-inch
margins, 12-point font and double spacing.

3. It must have a title/cover page that includes your name, date and an appropriate title for your
research.

5. It must cover the topic effectively and present a well-developed thesis, supported by evidence

from primary and secondary sources.
6. It must in some way demonstrate an understanding of the development of scholarship on the topic

—that is, the paper itself must incorporate in the text and notes an adequate discussion of the
scholarly works on the subject.

7. It must demonstrate mastery of the conventions of the discipline—i.e., the physical appearance of
the paper, grammar, punctuation, etc..

8. Be sure to incorporate research from assigned readings and/or lectures.
9. Pages, including bibliography, must be numbered, starting on the first page of text.  The one

exception is the title page, which should not have a number.  The first page of text of the paper
should be page 1.

Please answer the Essay Question(s) below:

1. Pick any currently operating business and/or company that you would want to work for.
• Look at their “Careers / Human Resource” page and locate a position you would apply to.
• Create a Resume & Cover Letter for the position you want to apply to.
• Print the Job Description and attach it to your assignment.

2. Address any 3 of the following questions and submit with your resume and cover letter.
a. Brief company history.
b. What is the company known for? (ie. Agriculture, Design, Entertainment, Food)
