What Have You Learned?
Purpose:
This assignment is designed for students to illustrate what they know about sociology up to
this point. There are no right or wrong answers, as I am trying to do a written knowledge
check based on what information has interested the students at this point in the semester.
Task:
Students will need to respond to the following questions in complete sentences:
1. What three new ideas (i.e. theory, sociological concepts, research findings) have
you learned in sociology up to this point? Please make sure to explain the ideas
using your own words. Do not just list the new ideas you have learned.
2. Explain why these three ideas stood out to you?
3. At this point in the course, is there something you are still confused about? If so,
what are you confused about. If not, please let me know that you are not
confused about anything.
Criteria for Success:
Students will need to:
1. Submit assignment by the due date–Extra Credit is not accepted late!!
2. Respond to all questions in complete sentences.
3. Submit assignment using the following steps:
• Save assignment as word document file (either on your computer or thumb
drive) please do not use pages format–as I cannot access this format
• Go to Browse My Computer–after you have open this find your saved file
• Upload the file
• Once you have uploaded your file you will need to click submit in order to submit
the assignment.
• Please do not use the comment box to submit your assignment.
